How are you doing ladies/gentlemen?

I am H0BGOBLIN/streetmage from the Ragnarok Online message board. Anyways
this faq is dedicated to acolytes because I am one. Also, to teach other
Acolytes.

THIS GUIDE IS CURRENTLY FOR INT/SUPPORT PRIESTS ONLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

II. Why choose an Acolyte? / The Quest
<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>

The Acolyte is the underdog of Rune Midgard(RO world). All parties love
Acolytes. Acolytes/Priest's have a lot of support spells that the party
may find useful. Not only are they good party mates, there decent at soloing
Choose the Acolyte of you have a good party and like to beat up on zombies!

                       --------------THE QUEST--------------

~The Quest~
The Acolyte quest has changed somewhat. Instead of 1 priest to go to there
is 3. You will assigned 1 of the 3 and as far I as I can tell its random.
You will get a hint of which priest you are being sent to.

Priest #1
The first priest is the old priest in yoyoland/prontera ruins. Same place
same NPC. Becareful because now mandrags guard the entrance of yoyoland.
Mandrags are agressive and pretty tough until level 20+

Priest #2
The second priest is in North Morroc (screen right above Morroc) in the NW
corner.

Priest #3
The third priest is in East Geffen (2nd east screen) in the center of the
screen on a island.

III. Stat point allocation
<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>=<>

Str: Same, up your attack and weight. You now start off with about 2k
     weight.

Int: Up attack of skills and gives more SP. This will affect Heal the same.
Increases SP recoverage. MAX TO 99!

Vit: Reduces Damage, gives more HP, and makes healing items heal more.

Agi: Ups attack speed and evasion. Flee is used to dodge enemies.

Dex: Also up attack speed(not as much as agi), hit rate, and casting speed.

Luk: Ups chance of crit, perfect dodge, and raises turn undead success rate.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok...lets talk about the AGI vs VIT vs DEX vs LUK subject.

Agility - increases chance to dodge monsters.
Vitality - increases defense to lower the damage taken, speeds up hp
recovery, increases the amound of which potions heal, raises HP.
Dexterity - increases hit rate/accuracy, lowers cast time, raises attack speed.
Luck - increases critical rate, perfect dodge, and turn undead success rate.

Pro's of AGI-
Dodging of course, is better than taking hits.
You will dodge allowing you to cast safer.

Con's of AGI-
You will have low health
When you are mobbed dodge % decreases by 10% each monster.
Some places you will never be able to solo because of mobs and
becomes useless in mobs.

Pro's of VIT-
You will take less damage when hit
You will heal faster
Potions will heal more
More HP

Con's of VIT-
Monsters now have so much attack, you will still be taking high double
digits and low triple digits. You will get hit a lot, disturbing your
spell castings.

Pro's of DEX-

Cast Rate is faster allowing to dish out Magnus Excorcism and other
support spells quickly. Excellent for ME priests.

Con's of DEX-

You won't have any defensive stats. Could lead to early death.
Requires more skills.

Pro's of LUK-

Raises Turn Undead success rate. TU is very powerful 1 hit kill spell.
Perfect Dodge (chance to geta LUCKY and completley dodge enemy attack
no matter how many monsters are on you) is always good.

Con's of LUK-

Same as DEX, no defensive except for the Perfect Dodge which is minimal.

In the end....

DEX - If you plan to use Magnus Excorcism and Kyrie Eleison a lot.

AGI - If you plan to solo sometimes and dodge monsters.

VIT - If you want higher HP to survive few hits monsters attacks.

Some of my friends since they use magnus excorcism and kyrie eleison a lot,
and I almost always in a party.

I Prefer like AGI because they don't have to worry about there
HP and can worry about party members =D

I don't like VIT much but I know some priests who have high HP because of it.

Heal

Active
Target: Player
SP Use: Varies
Max Level: 10

Level 1 : 13 SP
Level 2 : 16 SP
Level 3 : 19 SP
Level 4 : 22 SP
Level 5 : 25 SP
Level 6 : 28 SP
Level 7 : 31 SP
Level 8 : 34 SP
Level 9 : 37 SP
Level 10 : 40 SP

Comments: It hurts Undeads/Demons/Spirits, by holding shift and clicking on
them. It's a useful spell for any type of Acolyte/Priest, too. The formula is:
[(Int+BLv)/8]*(4+8*SLv).

______________________________________________________________

Cure

Pre-Requisites: Level 2 Heal
Active
Target: Any Player
SP Use: 15
Max Level: 1

Comments: It causes 'Chaos' when used against the undead, when you hold shift
and click one. It also heals status ailments.

_________________________________________________________________

Ruwach

Active
Element: Holy
SP Use: 10 SP
Max Level: 1

Note: In PvP and possibly for hidden monsters, Ruwach attacks at the strength
of your mATK.

Comments: Unhides thieves and supposedly does damage to hidden enemies. Pretty
useless unless you want Teleport or Warp Portal, or want to punish that Thief
or Assassin who sent a mob or train right at you and hid. Just Ruwach him, then
teleport.
__________________________________________________________

Teleportation

Pre-Requisites: Level 1 Ruwach
Active
Target: Self
SP Use: Varies
Max Level: 2

Level 1 : Warps to random position on map, 10 SP
Level 2 : Warps to random position on map or to save point, 9 SP

Comments: Great for getting out of binds, or having a change of scenery from
that retarded KSer. Let him attack a huge tough monster when you're after it,
and tele away. Then come back and watch him run/get his/her ass wanked.

________________________________________________________________

Warp Portal

Pre-Requisites: Level 2 Teleportation , Level 1 Ruwach
Active
Item: Blue Gemstone
Target: Ground
SP Use: 30
Max Level: 4

Level 1: Warp to the Warpers' Save point. 7 People allowed in warp, 30 SP
Level 2: 1 Memo, 8 people allowed in warp, 28 SP
Level 3: 2 Memos, 9 people allowed in warp, 26 SP
Level 4: 3 Memos, 10 people allowed in warp, 24 SP

Weggys' Comments: Let me explain the memo thing... when your at a place you
want to save, use the /memo command, and it will save it. You can warp there
later.

Comments: Mistress Card lets you do certain spells without stones, but it's
super rare.

_______________________________________________________________

Pneuma

Pre-Requisites: Level 4 Warp Portal
Active
Target: Ground
SP Use: 10
Max Level: 1

Note: The only Missiles (projectiles) in the game right now are arrows, and
Mandragora/Hydra tentacles.

Comments: Shields a targeted area from a missile attack for a limited ammount
of time, the tiles right next to the spell are effected, too.

_______________________________________________________________

Aqua Benedicta

Active
SP use: 10
Max Level: 1

Note: Makes a bottle of holy water with one bottle, in a water source. Holy
water can give a weapon the 'Holy' property, but you need the skill 'Aspersio'
as a Priest to actually enchant people with it. You have to be in a pond, and
it won't work when you're in Bibalan 4/5 when you're completely immersed.

_____________________________________________________________

Divine Protection

Passive
Max Level: 10

Level 1 : DEF +3 vs. Undead/Demons/Spirits
Level 2 : DEF +6 vs. Undead/Demons/Spirits
Level 3 : DEF +9 vs. Undead/Demons/Spirits
Level 4 : DEF +12 vs. Undead/Demons/Spirits
Level 5 : DEF +15 vs. Undead/Demons/Spirits
Level 6 : DEF +18 vs. Undead/Demons/Spirits
Level 7 : DEF +21 vs. Undead/Demons/Spirits
Level 8 : DEF +24 vs. Undead/Demons/Spirits
Level 9 : DEF +27 vs. Undead/Demons/Spirits
Level 10: DEF +30 vs. Undead/Demons/Spirits

Note: Ignores Armor Defense.

Comments: Not the best skill in the game. In fact, far from it. I noticed
(Thanks Mini Snow ) that -30 from the final damage is pretty crappy if Evil
Druid is attacking you. However, it is a necessity for Monks to max this, if
they want any skills.

__________________________________________________________

DemonBane

Pre-Requisites: Level 3 Divine Protection
Passive
Max Level: 10

Level 1 : ATK +3 vs. Undead/Demons/Spirits
Level 2 : ATK +6 vs. Undead/Demons/Spirits
Level 3 : ATK +9 vs. Undead/Demons/Spirits
Level 4 : ATK +12 vs. Undead/Demons/Spirits
Level 5 : ATK +15 vs. Undead/Demons/Spirits
Level 6 : ATK +18 vs. Undead/Demons/Spirits
Level 7 : ATK +21 vs. Undead/Demons/Spirits
Level 8 : ATK +24 vs. Undead/Demons/Spirits
Level 9 : ATK +27 vs. Undead/Demons/Spirits
Level 10: ATK +30 vs. Undead/Demons/Spirits

Note: Ignores Armor Defense.

Comments: Not to worthwhile to make an investment with, unless you want a bit
of a boost, or are an undead killer. Even then, I don't suggest it. However, it
is a necessity for Monks to max this, if they want any skills.

____________________________________________________________

Signum Crucis

Pre-Requisites: Level 3 Demon Bane
Active
SP Use: 35
Target: Evil enemies (on screen)
Max Level: 10

Level 1 : -3 DEF to every evil enemy (on screen)
Level 2 : -6 DEF to every evil enemy (on screen)
Level 3 : -9 DEF to every evil enemy (on screen)
Level 4 : -12 DEF to every evil enemy (on screen)
Level 5 : -15 DEF to every evil enemy (on screen)
Level 6 : -18 DEF to every evil enemy (on screen)
Level 7 : -21 DEF to every evil enemy (on screen)
Level 8 : -24 DEF to every evil enemy (on screen)
Level 9 : -27 DEF to every evil enemy (on screen)
Level 10: -30 DEF to every evil enemy (on screen)

Comments: Pretty nice, but considering most roting corpses
(Demons/Undeads/Spirits) have low defense anyways, it's usefull depending on
what you use it on, and how many monsters it affects, and how you and your
party (or you) can benfit off it. Not all evil monsters are affected, though,
but when they are, there's an emoticon (Which?) above their heads.

Angelus

Pre-Requisites: Level 3 Divine Protection
Active
Target: Party (on screen)
SP Use: 40 SP
Max Level: 10

Level 1 : +115% Def, 20 second duration
Level 2 : +120% Def, 30 second duration
Level 3 : +125% Def, 40 second duration
Level 4 : +130% Def, 50 second duration
Level 5 : +135% Def, 60 second duration
Level 6 : +140% Def, 100 second duration
Level 7 : +145% Def, 105 second duration
Level 8 : +150% Def, 110 second duration
Level 9 : +155% Def, 115 second duration
Level 10: +160% Def, 120 second duration

Note: The Defense you get while this spell is is casted on you doesn't shos up
in your Stat screen.

Comments: Very nice if you have a lot of VIT builds in your party.

______________________________________________________________

Blessing

Pre-Requisites: Level 5 Divine Protection
Active
Target: Player (excluding you)
SP Use: Varies
Max Level: 10

Level 1 : STR, INT, and DEX +1, 28 SP, 60 seconds
Level 2 : STR, INT, and DEX +2, 31 SP, 60 seconds
Level 3 : STR, INT, and DEX +3, 34 SP, 60 seconds
Level 4 : STR, INT, and DEX +4, 37 SP, 60 seconds
Level 5 : STR, INT, and DEX +5, 40 SP, 60 seconds
Level 6 : STR, INT, and DEX +6, 43 SP, 90 seconds
Level 7 : STR, INT, and DEX +7, 46 SP, 90 seconds
Level 8 : STR, INT, and DEX +8, 49 SP, 90 seconds
Level 9 : STR, INT, and DEX +9, 52 SP, 90 seconds
Level 10: STR, INT, and DEX +10, 55 SP, 120 seconds

Comments: The SP cost is a little extreme, but it does heal status ailments as
well. You can also use it on evil monsters, by holding shift, although it
lowers categories by to little to be of to much effect in the later levels, and
it also curses them. The SP cost is too great, though. I'm also not sure of the
time it lasts, I'll need it verified. Also, if somebody is inflicted with a
status ailment, and you use blessing on them, it rids them of that status
ailment for good, until they are inflicted with it again. Same thing goes with
cursing evil monsters with this. Great for forging Blacksmiths.

______________________________________________________________

Increase AGI

Pre-Requisites: Level 1 Heal
Active
Target: Player
SP Use: Varies
Max Level: 10

Level 1 : -15 HP, Agi +3, 65 seconds, 18 SP
Level 2 : -15 HP, Agi +4, 80 seconds, 21 SP
Level 3 : -15 HP, Agi +5, 95 seconds, 24 SP
Level 4 : -15 HP, Agi +6, 110 seconds, 27 SP
Level 5 : -15 HP, Agi +7, 125 seconds, 30 SP
Level 6 : -15 HP, Agi +8, 140 seconds, 33 SP
Level 7 : -15 HP, Agi +9, 155 seconds, 36 SP
Level 8 : -15 HP, Agi +10, 170 seconds, 39 SP
Level 9 : -15 HP, Agi +11, 185 seconds, 42 SP
Level 10: -15 HP, Agi +12, 200 seconds, 45 SP

Comments: Increases walking speed, but costs a lot of SP, and even some HP.

______________________________________________________________

Decrease AGI

Pre-Requisites: Level 1 Speed Up
Active
Target: Player
SP Use: Varies
Max Level: 10

Level 1 : -15 HP, Agi -3, 65 seconds, 18 SP
Level 2 : -15 HP, Agi -4, 80 seconds, 21 SP
Level 3 : -15 HP, Agi -5, 95 seconds, 24 SP
Level 4 : -15 HP, Agi -6, 110 seconds, 27 SP
Level 5 : -15 HP, Agi -7, 125 seconds, 30 SP
Level 6 : -15 HP, Agi -8, 140 seconds, 33 SP
Level 7 : -15 HP, Agi -9, 155 seconds, 36 SP
Level 8 : -15 HP, Agi -10, 170 seconds, 39 SP
Level 9 : -15 HP, Agi +11, 185 seconds, 42 SP
Level 10: -15 HP, Agi +12, 200 seconds, 45 SP

Note: This skill can fail.

Comments: Quite nice for bosses. 12 Agility adds up quite tastily against
something that takes a while to kill, like an MVP, although generally not worth
the skill points.

QUEST SKILL, SOON TO BE IN IRO WHEN COMODO COMES OUT

Holy Light

other players in PVP. Joy.
