========================================================================
1) Introduction
========================================================================

The Battle Priest… a long, long time ago, in a RO game far, far away, there was
once a class that Ruled all others. With the introduction of the Monk, the
Battle Priest
had ceased to exist but in a Few, smart peoples minds. This my readers, is the
guide of the ultimate solo class. The Battle Priest.

========================================================================
2) Starting Out
========================================================================

You will find that being a Battle Acolyte is not the easiest thing to do. You
will need patients, lots and lots of patients.

As a Novice
This is where it is really the easiest. All battle classes start with 9 STR,
9 AGI and 9 DEX, it’s like the only way to be successful. So, as a novice do
all the novice training ground stuff in the first room. This will roughly
get you to 5/7 and on your way. When you spawn in your town of pleasure
(preferably Prontera) you should head to Rockers or Poporings. They give great
EXP and will get you to job 10 in a matter of 10 minutes. Once you get through
this you can just walk to Prontera Church and go to the room to the right of the
entrance. There will be an NPC right there, but that is not the right one.
Go right some more and then north; there will be another NPC there and talk
to him. He will tell you of an NPC that is somewhere, givin the name, follow
these instructions:
1. Mother Matilda (North of Morroc in the top Northwest corner)
2. Father Yosuke (From Prontera go: West, North, West, middle of map)
3. Father Rubalkubara (From Prontera go: East, North, North East, North East
cornor.)

Now you’re an Acolyte, and the struggle begins.

Acolyte, The Struggle Within
So yeah, you may have noticed those Daggers you may have used don’t work now,
or your sword. BattleAco is purely based on using a Mace class weapon. The
best one you are going to be able to use from the level you are right now
is probably a Mace. From here on I would go to Poporings again until level
25ish. If you can, try and get a hold of an Ice Chain or an Ice Sword mace
or Ice Stunner. These will help you power level your way through. Pretty much
from level 25 you will want to go to Elder Willows. If you have
Potions and a Fire Weapon and a Brutal Buckler you can go to Hodes, but Elder
Willows is nice, fast EXP till the late 30s. After getting to a desirable level,
you should head to Hodes. They require 130ish flee (which you will have no where
near), but they do not hit that hard. Of course there are alternatives to my
directions but there are so many places you could go that I do not want to list
them. If you think you can take on Sandmen, from around level 50+ you could test
your luck with them. Again, at about 50+ you could try out Toy Factory
level 2 or Coal Mines 2-3. Both places are good EXP, but there are no non-uber
rare cards that reduce their damage. Now, I would then say after you hit 40 job
you can go turn into a Priest.. but. LISTEN TO ME AND LISTEN TO ME GOOD. YOU
WILL REGRET TURNING INTO A PRIEST BEFORE 47 JOB. An Aco’s best friend is his
self buffs. And guess what? It takes 46 job points JUST to get the minimum
skills to meet what you need. YOU DO NEED PNEUMA, YOU DO NEED ANGELUS 2,
YOU DO NEED AQUA BENEDICTO. Please, just take the extra time to get to 47 job.
It’s really not that much of an extra effort. So, from 40 job on you’re pretty
much stuck to a limited amount of places. BUT! If your server have Ayothaya,
you’re in super luck. Get this, a Monster that gives 156ish Base EXP, has a
little over 2400 HP, and gives.. are you ready? 1200+ JOB EXP!! Leaf Cats are
your friend. Do the Quest to get into the Dungeon and go to Ayothaya Dungeon
level 1. These babies are all over the place and their job EXP is hot. Now,
when you’re 47 job or higher, go back to the Prontera Church. Instead of going
right, this time go left! There will be an NPC in the same spot as
the Acolyte NPC, just named Father Bishop. His quest is easy. If you were smart
and did 50 job, you can skip the “pillaging” part and move right into the fun
part. Finish his quest and then the next short part and BAM,
Congratulations, you’re a Battle Priest.

Priesthood!
This is where it gets realllly fun! So you’ve finally reached Priest and it’s
all a smooth ride up! You should headback to where you were before you changed
into Priest and get some job levels. I would suggest getting Mace Mastery right
away, and then Magnificat and Imposito Manus then Aspersio. These will be main
and major skills in your arsenal of leveling. If I was you, I would head to
Mi Gaos (if you have Louyang) or Zenorcs. Once you have reached 190 flee you
can head to Raydrics. These are GREAT EXP and they have awesome drops.
Raydrics are located in Chivalry 1 and 2, as well as in Castle 2. I would
suggest Chivalry 2, because Chiv 1 is usually infested with bots, and has
Ridewords in it. Castle 2 is loaded with Raydrics, but they are really
mobby and tend to get out of hand a lot. Now, if you have Amatsu on your
server you will need 210+ flee for Prison mainly because of Rybios
and Injustice. I also recommend getting a +6-10 Triple Boned Chain or a
+10 Quad Boned Mace for these places. Injustice and Zombie Prisoners are
Medium, and Rybio is large so you will want a Trip/Quad Titan as well. Now,
I don’t want to limit you to just there. You can go to a plethora of different
places. Battle Priests have the ability to Solo very well in most places;
with only the downfall of low HP and Flee. Equipping yourself with the right
Macescan and will make you the ultimate solo-able character on RO. It’s going
to be a tough ride to 99 though, Battle Priests cannot mob like other classes
can, and we can’t tank huge mobs for a Wizard to Storm Gust and then we move on,
we take it slow, one or two monsters at a time; but believe me when you hit 99
it will actually FEEL like you’ve accomplished something almost no one else has.

========================================================================
3) Gearing it up!
========================================================================

This class is recommended for the RICHER players only. They require precise
equipment and a variety
Of carded maces that can become very expensive.

Shoes: +4 or higher Chon Chon, Eggyra or Firelock* Shoes
Garment: +4 or higher Mocking Muffler
Accessories: 2x Muscle Clip, Ring, Brooch (pick one on your build)
Head: Anything really... I recommend getting something that gives more STR or
AGI.
Middle/Lower Head: Masquerade, Evil Wing Ears, Angel Wing Ears, or well,
anything.

VIT Battle Priest (although I have never seen one, you might make one o.0?)

========================================================================
4) Builds!
========================================================================

In the words of Mario “Herrrre we go!”

AGI/STR Build
STR: 77+23 (use 2x Ring of Muscle [Mantis Card] for 100 STR)
AGI: 88+15
VIT: 38+5
INT: 23+15
DEX: 46+14
LUK: 4+7

Final Flee: 224 (all flee will be WITH mocking)
Final HP: 6083 (add one more VIT? Or a +1 VIT gear?)
Final ASPD: 171(.9) (Mace + Concentration Potion)
Final SP: 1106

Comments: This is a good build if you do not have the money to buy crit
gears for your character.
It really brings both of the Priest worlds together, nice ASPD and nice DMG.
Recommendation: Yes, for “newbs.”

---

120 STR/AGI Build
STR: 97+23 (use 2x Ring of Muscle [Mantis Card] for 120 STR)
AGI: 86+15
VIT: 11+5
INT: 15+15
DEX: 36+14
LUK: 6+7

Final Flee: 222
Final HP: 4934
Final ASPD: 170(.9)
Final SP: 1042

Comments: Extreme build, based purely on damage output and dodging monsters.
You will rock all Monsters with this build, but getting it is costly, and you
really lose out on that extra LUK for crit.
Recommendation: Yes, but only to those who know what they’re doing and have
the money to throw Down on the gears it takes.

---

AGI/Crit
STR: 53+17 (with 2x Rosary of Counter)
AGI: 88+16
VIT: 14+5
INT: 35+15
DEX: 36+14
LUK: 64+39(with Gloria)

Final Flee: 223
Final HP: 5062
Final ASPD: 171(.1)
Final SP: 1203
Final Crit: 39(.9)

Comments: This is a great all around build. You have high flee to dodge most
monsters and you can crit Their asses to death with your lethal crit rate.
Recommendation: If you like Crit Sins and want to be using a Priest instead
sure,
otherwise this build Is really kind of just for kicks.

---

Hybrid AGI/STR/Crit
STR: 89+21 (2x Mantis Rosary for LUK)
AGI: 82+16
VIT: 15+5
INT: 31+15
DEX: 26+14
LUK: 31+39 (with Gloria, -2 LUK if not using Mantis Rosary)

Final Flee: 217
Final HP: 5104
Final ASPD: 169(.3)
Final SP: 1211
Final Crit: 22.0%

Comments: This is a great build. You get a nice heal, some nice HIT, lots of
STR to play with, tons Of flee to screw around with, and even a nice crit rate!
Recommendation: Yes, this is a great build and works really with anyone.

---

Geomyr(Me)’s Build
STR: 88+22 (using Firelock Shoes, 1x Mantis Ring, Evil Wing Ears)
AGI: 84+17 (Using Angel Helm :P)
VIT: 5+5
INT: 33+15
DEX: 36+14
LUK: 26+38

Final HP: 5379 HP
Final SP: 1186
Final Flee: 220
Final Crit: 25.2% (using a Crit Ring)

Comments: Great build of course, and I am using it (duh). A bit lower VIT, yes,
but the STR is lowered And DEX increased for more HIT. Also a nice Crit rate.
Recommendation: Yes, of course I recommend this build. It works with everyone
(but you do need money) and Is pretty sweet!

Magnificat 3
SP Regen 10
Status Recovery 1
Resurrection 1

This gives you 14 extra job points. If you did job 50 Aco, you can max out Demon
and Divine to 10 And still have 2 job points left over. If you did 47 job, you
can max one, and get 9 of the other. Alternatively, you could get a higher level
Resurrection, or get Gloria...

8) Card Combining
========================================================================

11) Weapons and Armor Card Combos

Weapons:
I suggest here that you get a 4s level 1 weapon. Get 2x Race cards and
2x Size cards for these. If you need to know why, here is how the
game calculates card damages: 100% Card 1 + Card 2 + Card 3 +
Card 4. But, if you have 2 of the same card, and then 2 of a
different card, it goes like this. 100% + Card Type 1 total *
Card type 2 in %. So, 2x Hydra cards in a 4s weapon gives +40% damage to
Demi-Human. Then if you put in say 2 Skeleton Worker cards, that’s 30% more
damage on top of the 140% damage you are already doing. So you end up with
140% * .3(or 30%) = 182% + 10 ATK to a Demi-Human, Medium sized
monster (ex: Players).Where on the other hand, 4 Hydra cards only does
180% damage. See, cards stack onto themselves until a new card is
introduced. Then, it takes any modifiers from that card that would affect
the monster and multiplies their affect to the damage with the other
cards. So in short, with a 4s/3s Weapon, a 2x Race + 2x/1x Size
card wins for damage.

How do you choose when to switch from a 3s weapon to a 4s weapon? Easy.
You should use a 3s weapon until you reach 120 STR. Any amount of STR you
get at 120 or more makes a 4s Carded weapon do a lot more damage than a
3x carded weapon

Armor:
Ok, every class needs an HP increasing Armor. Whether it be a Pupa
Card, Roda Frog Card or PecoPeco card. How to decide you ask? If you
have less than 7300 BASE HP than stick with the Pupa Card. If you have
7300 or more HP, than use the PecoPeco Card. Simple, As, That.

Footwear:
Ok, these can really screw with your mind. I found this out the hard
way. So, if you have lets say 7100 base HP. And you put on an Ares
(PecoPeco card) armor, and have Green (Matyr card) boots on, a Pupa
card will be better than a PecoPeco card. See, it is just like weapon
cards. If you have 1 HP+ing card, than another one will add to that one.
So in short, a PecoPeco Card + Matyr Card > Pupa + Matyr at 7300+ HP because
instead of +20% HP, it is around +15%...

========================================================================
9) Using your Battle Priest
========================================================================

In this section I will tell you how to use these beasts effectively. Learn,
and learn well.

PvM (Player vs. Monster):
You can have some great fun in this. The only thing you really need to do in
this is keep your buffs up. Keep Bless, AGI, Kyrie, Magnificat, Imposito,
Aspersio(if the situation calls for it) and Gloria up (if you need it). I
would suggest finding a Battle Smith to party with; these little devil machines
can make you one hell of a killer. Their Adrenaline Rush skill will add like
10 ASPD to your Maces and you will utterly destroy monsters with it on.

PvP (Player vs. Player):
Well, not much to say here, keep all your buffs on, if there is a Blacksmith
in PvP then ask him to party with you so he can give you his Adrenaline Rush
and Power Thrust bonuses. I don’t really recommend PvP to most Battle Priest
builds anymore, but a STR/Crit build would do a decent job at PvP. The main
reason behind me saying this is because Battle Priests are too wide spread on
their stats that they really can’t get a decent amount of VIT. It makes us very
vulnerable to Stun, Silence, and Poison. Also, since we don’t really get a high
flee a lot of high DEX based  classes (except Hunter/non Melee Bard/Dancer /gg)
can hit you for a lot of damage and hit you very often. PvP can be quite fun
though!

WoE:
Ok, so you want to bring your Battle Priest into WoE eh? Well, it is very fun,
but takes a lotof concentration and preparation. Please hear me first: YOU
WILL NEVER GO INTO A PRE-CAST AND TRY TO BREAK IT. My reason? Your HP will go
from full to 0 in about 5 seconds (unless you are ungodly rich/lucky and have
a GTB+GR cards). If your guild has a Battle Smith in it, make sure you are in
his/her party. You will destroy emperiums if you can get to one that is poorly
defended or not at all and you have Adrenaline Rush on.

High Priest Builds

These are going to be pretty much the exact same builds…

AGI/STR Build
STR: 85+25 (use 2x Ring of Muscle [Mantis Card] for 100 STR)
AGI: 89+15
VIT: 38+5
INT: 23+15
DEX: 41+14
LUK: 2+7

Final Flee: 228 (all flee will be WITH mocking)
Final HP: N/A (calc I used does not have HP…)
Final ASPD: 172(.7) (Mace + Concentration Potion)
Final SP: 1597

Comments: This is a good build if you do not have the money to buy crit
gears for your character.
It really brings both of the Priest worlds together, nice ASPD and nice DMG.
Recommendation: Yes, for “newbs.”

---

120 STR/AGI Build
STR: 95+23 (use 2x Ring of Muscle [Mantis Card] for 120 STR)

DEX: 41+14
LUK: 6+7

Final Flee: 229
Final HP: N/A
Final ASPD: 173
Final SP: 1509

Comments: Extreme build, based purely on damage output and dodging monsters.
You will rock all Monsters with this build, but getting it is costly, and you
really lose out on that extra LUK for crit.
Recommendation: Yes, but only to those who know what they’re doing and have
the money to throw Down on the gears it takes.

---

AGI/Crit
STR: 71+23 (with 2x Rosary of Counter)

Final Flee: 227
Final HP: N/A
Final ASPD: 171(.4)
Final SP: 1630

Comments: This is a great all around build. You have high flee to dodge
Most monsters and you can crit Their asses to death with your
Lethal crit rate.
Recommendation: If you like Crit Sins and want to be using a Priest instead sure,
otherwise this build Is really kind of just for kicks.

---

Hybrid AGI/STR/Crit
STR: 87+23 (2x Mantis Rosary for LUK)
AGI: 90+20

STR to play with, tons Of flee to screw around with, and even a nice crit rate!
Recommendation: Yes, this is a great build and works really with anyone.

---

Geomyr(Me)’s Build
STR: 87+26 (using Firelock Shoes, 1x Mantis Ring, Evil Wing Ears)
AGI: 87+21 (Using Angel Helm :P)

Final ASPD: 172

Comments: Great build of course, and I am using it (duh). Still great build, but
with a higher Heal and more HP
Recommendation: Yes, of course I recommend this build. It works with everyone
(but you do need money) and Is pretty sweet!

I am just a 17 year old kid who has a lot of free time in school. No,
I am not a nerd; I just have a 1 hour lunch break and nothing to do
during that time. I do still play iRO Sakray. You can get ahold
of me as Geomyr if I am online.
